Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g (9oz) Fettuccine Pasta: Use durum wheat semolina pasta for best texture.
  • 200g (7oz) Ground Halal Beef: Substitute with regular ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat).
  • 100g (3.5oz) Smoked Turkey Bacon, Chopped: Adds smoky depth.
  • 1 Tbsp (15ml) Olive Oil: Extra virgin olive oil is ideal.
  • 1 Small Onion, Diced: Yellow onion provides aromatic base.
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced: Freshly minced for pungent flavor.
  • 300ml (1.25 cup) Heavy Cream: Key to a rich Alfredo sauce.
  • 120ml (0.5 cup) Whole Milk: Balances the richness of the cream.
  • 60g (2oz) Grated Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated for smooth melting.
  • 0.5 tsp Smoked Paprika: Enhances smoky flavor.
  • Salt and Pepper, to Taste: Season generously.
  • 30g (0.25 cup) Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese: Provides bold flavor and color.
  • 2 Tbsp (15g) Panko Breadcrumbs: Creates a crispy topping.
  • 1 Tbsp (15g) Unsalted Butter, Melted: Helps breadcrumbs brown.
  • 2 Tbsp (8g) Chopped Fresh Parsley: Adds a bright, herbaceous note.

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Boil fettuccine until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Crisp Bacon: Cook chopped turkey bacon until crispy, drain on paper towels.
  3. Brown Beef & Aromatics: Brown beef with onion and garlic, season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Craft Alfredo Sauce: Melt butter, add paprika and garlic, then whisk in cream, milk, and Parmesan until smooth. Adjust consistency with pasta water.
  5. Combine & Coat: Toss pasta, beef mixture, bacon, and Alfredo sauce together.
  6. Prepare for Broiling: Transfer to baking dish, top with cheddar and panko, drizzle with butter.
  7. Broil to Perfection: Broil for 2-4 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Garnish & Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a smoother Alfredo sauce, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and add pasta water to adjust consistency.
