- 2.5g (½ tsp) Black Pepper
- 5g (1 tsp) Salt
- 200g (7oz) Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 100g (3½oz) Cream Cheese, softened
- 15ml (1 Tbsp) Chipotle in Adobo Sauce, minced
- 30ml (2 Tbsp) Whole Milk
- 30ml (2 Tbsp) Fresh Lime Juice
- 30g (2 Tbsp) Plain Yogurt
- 30g (2 Tbsp) Fresh Cilantro, chopped
- 15g (1 Tbsp) Panko Breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté Aromatics: Sauté onion in olive oil until translucent, then add garlic and spices, cooking for 1 minute.
- Brown Beef: Add ground beef and cook until browned, draining excess fat.
- Layer Beef: Spread beef evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Make Cheese Mixture: Combine cheddar, cream cheese, chipotle peppers, and milk until smooth.
- Swirl and Spread: Drop cheese mixture over beef and swirl gently.
- Add Crunch (Optional): Sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs.
- Bake: Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
- Make Yogurt Sauce: Whisk together yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, and salt.
