Description
Slow cooked pull-apart tender hot honey barbecue chicken piled high on toasty buns with pickles and mayonnaise.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup Franks Red Hot Sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 6 brioche buns
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2–3 sliced dill pickles
Instructions
- Step 1: Mix barbecue sauce, Franks red hot sauce, and honey in a small bowl. Reserve half of the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge.
- Step 2: Add chicken to the slow cooker and pour hot honey barbecue sauce mixture over the chicken. Cook on low for 6 hours or on high for about 3 hours until chicken is fork tender and cooked through to at least 165 degrees.
- Step 3: Shred chicken with two forks and mix in remaining sauce from the fridge.
- Step 4: Lightly toast your buns. Spread mayonnaise on buns and top with pulled chicken and sliced pickles.
Notes
You can cut the recipe in half for a smaller crowd or double it for a larger crowd.
