- 5 chicken thighs, skin-on, bone-in
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
Instructions
- Step: Add chicken thighs, garlic, salt, and black pepper to the slow cooker.
- Step: (Optional) Sear chicken skin-side down in a skillet with oil for a few minutes to brown the skin.
- Step: Flip chicken so the skin side faces up.
- Step: Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the chicken.
- Step: Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
- Step: Serve hot. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Searing the chicken skin-side down before slow cooking improves color and texture but is optional. Do not open the lid during cooking.
