Description

Flavorful, oven-roasted shrimp seasoned with garlic, herbs, and Old Bay, chilled and served with a zesty homemade cocktail sauce for the perfect appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails left on
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetarian-friendly Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Prepare Shrimp: Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, Old Bay, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Add shrimp and toss to coat thoroughly.
  3. Roast: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Arrange shrimp in a single layer and roast for 8–10 minutes, or until opaque and pink.
  4. Chill: Place the roasted shrimp in the refrigerator until completely chilled.
  5. Make Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, vegetarian-friendly Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Ensure the shrimp are in a single layer on the baking sheet to guarantee even roasting.
