- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- â…› teaspoon pepper
- â…› teaspoon onion powder
- â…› teaspoon paprika
- ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
- 1 tablespoon salted butter
Instructions
- Step: In a small bowl, stir together the salt, parsley, garlic, powder, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Season both sides of the chicken.
- Step: Pour the chicken broth into a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker and add the chicken breasts.
- Step: Cut the butter into small pieces and place on top.
- Step: Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the chicken reaches 165°F.
- Step: For clean slices, remove the chicken to a cutting board and cover to keep warm. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For best results, use a slow cooker that is at least half full to provide insulation and prevent overcooking. Thaw frozen chicken completely before adding to the slow cooker.
