- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 5 ounces each)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Marinate: In a medium bowl or freezer bag, combine chicken breasts, bbq sauce, and minced garlic. Marinate at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat: Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Bake: Place chicken and sauce in a 2.5qt casserole dish and bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F.
- Serve: Cool 5 minutes before serving. Spoon sauce over the chicken to serve.
Notes
Any cut of chicken will do in this recipe including drumsticks, legs, and split chicken breasts. If using bone in chicken, marinate as directed and place in a larger casserole dish; the chicken will need closer to 45 minutes. If you’d like a bit of char, broil for 2-3 minutes before removing from the oven.
