Description

Homemade Alfredo Sauce, how to make alfredo sauce from scratch that is easy and similar to Olive Garden!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Place a medium saucepan over medium heat. Melt butter, then stir in minced garlic cloves. Cook about 1 minute or until garlic is soft and fragrant, stirring constantly.
  2. Step 2: Slowly add the heavy cream to the saucepan, whisk until cream comes to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 3-5 minutes or until it starts to thicken.
  3. Step 3: Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth and thick.

Notes

Use a good quality freshly grated Parmesan cheese to ensure it melts well. Heavy cream is recommended for the best thickness and creaminess.
