Description

A delicious and easy-to-make shrimp dish featuring a rich cowboy butter sauce with garlic, lemon, and spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, Dijon mustard, crushed red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  2. Cooking: Add olive oil to the skillet and let it shimmer. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes until golden. Flip the shrimp and continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes until opaque. Pour the cowboy butter sauce over the shrimp and stir to coat. Allow to warm and thicken for an additional minute.
  3. Serving: Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop. Consider marinating shrimp for extra flavor or using other proteins for variations.
