Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3/4 teaspoon Salt
- 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1–1/2 teaspoons Dried Oregano
- 3/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 3/4 teaspoon Paprika
- 1–1/2 Pounds Large Shrimp (peeled and deveined, tail-on)
- Fresh Parsley (optional garnish)
- Lemon Wedges (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Step 1: Add the olive oil, salt, lemon juice, oregano, black pepper, garlic powder and paprika to a large mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.
- Step 2: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp and make sure they’re all coated. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes (no more than 1 hour).
- Step 3: Thread the shrimp onto skewers and cook over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes each side.
- Step 4: Remove from the heat and serve over seasoned rice with lemon wedges and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Notes
Do not marinate the shrimp for longer than 1 hour, as the lemon juice will start to cook the shrimp and make them tough. Shrimp tails can be removed if preferred.
