Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large chicken breasts, butterflied and pounded thin
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 0.5 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Step: Whisk together flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken breasts in the mixture, shaking off excess.
- Step: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and tent with foil.
- Step: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in parsley.
- Step: Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually add chicken broth and lemon juice, whisking constantly. Simmer 3–5 minutes until thickened and smooth.
- Step: Spoon warm Christopher sauce over the crispy chicken. Garnish with extra parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Pound the chicken evenly for quick, even cooking. Keep the garlic heat low when making the sauce to prevent bitterness. Use high-quality butter for the best flavor.
