This Brown Sugar Soy Sauce Salmon is the recipe to win over people who don’t like salmon. It’s so delicious that even the pickiest of eaters will love it!

- 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 medium cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Step 1: Let the salmon sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before you bake it.
- Step 2: Position the rack in the center of the oven and preheat it to 375 F (190 C).
- Step 3: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and garlic; cook until reduced by half and sticky. Swirl in butter and stir in Dijon mustard.
- Step 4: Place salmon skin side down on aluminum foil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, pour the soy sauce mixture over it, and seal the foil.
- Step 5: Bake for 15-18 minutes, open the foil, and broil for 2 minutes until the top has golden edges.
- Step 6: Sprinkle with fresh diced parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use your best judgement with bake time. Thin filets may take 10 minutes, while very thick pieces may need 20-25 minutes before broiling.
